Swarovski Stones

Swarovski Flat Back Stones (Glue-on)

These stones are flat backed with two distinct cuts dependant on the size of the stone.

The stocked sizes; SS05, SS07 & SS09 are cut with the simpler “Xilion Rose” design. whilst the larger sizes SS12, SS16, SS20, SS30 & SS34 have the more complex “Xirius Rose” or “Star” cut design.

The majority of the stones are backed with a platinum foil in order to enhance the brilliance of the colour whilst protecting the stone. Crystal, Crystal AB and Jet colours are also available without the foiled backing.

These stones are applied using a proprietary glue which is chosen for its suitability for the material that the stone is being fixed to. i.e. fabric glues for material, general purpose or two pack glues for leather, wood, metal etc. Note: Superglues can also be used when the stone is to be fixed to a smooth solid surface.

Swarovski Flat Back Stones (Hot-fix)

These stones are flat backed with two distinct cuts dependant on the size of the stone.

The Hot Fix Xilion Rose style is stocked in two popular sizes – SS6 & SS10.
The Hot Fix Xirius Rose style is stocked in sizes – SS12, SS16, SS20 & SS34.

The majority of the stones are backed with a platinum foil in order to enhance the brilliance of the colour whilst protecting the stone. Crystal clear is also available without the foiled backing.

The hot-fix stones have a special glue coating on the back and are applied to the project by heating and melting the glue.

This can be achieved using a hot iron but they are better applied using a special hot-fix applicator complete with a special set of replaceable tips which fit the different stone sizes.

Hot-Fix Stone Applicator

For quick and easy application the stones are applied using a the hot-fix applicator displayed.

This electrical heating wand comes complete with a  set of replaceable tips which are especially made to fit the different stone sizes.

Pick up a “hot-fix” stone in the tip and heat the tool till the glue starts to melt.

Apply to the project then press down on the stone using a set of bent tweezers or a pin then lift up the wand to release the stone.
